The Future of Project Teams

Abstract: 

The world of business is filled with projects. Project management is at the cusp of being transformed to a new model in how we work. How projects get organized, staffed and structured will impact your careers, work and productivity. This session is a wonderful discussion on the trends, ideas and technology that is driving the way we work projects. In this session we will discuss the nature of projects today, team structures, methodologies, career paths and how technology is impacting the way teams collaborate and communicate.

Speaker Bio: 

Samir Penkar is the author of the program management novel From Projects to Programs. He has more than a decade of experience in program and project management in a variety of industries. An active observer of trends, Samir has blogged extensively about project management, presented numerous sessions all over the world. He has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Fox9 News and many PMI publications. Samir currently works as the Director of Marketing at Trissential. He also volunteers for the PMI Minnesota chapter helping the chapter in their web streaming and video authoring projects.
