Title: Devops Decisions

Speaker: Mike Calvo

Presented by the University of Minnesota Software Engineering Center

Abstract:Successful modern applications depend on stable web services that deliver data consistently to user experiences. Keeping these services running in a performant and reliable way has become a key area of focus for many teams. When approaching building a modern application it is critical to consider how an engineering team will effectively manage its web services in a sustainable way. Providing operational support of your web services can influence your team’s decision making on many topics including staffing, architecture, design and work load placement. During this session, Mike will share lessons learned from leading teams that provide highly available and scalable web services.
