From Sensor to EHR: Charting a Course to Next Generation Applications

Health Information Technology (HIT) is now a common topic on the front page of the daily newspaper, but what does that mean for those developing medical devices and healthcare applications? This session looks at a wide range of organizations and activities in the HIT/medical device space and provides piratical guidance for those developing technologies that include medical devices or device informatics components. Topics include the application of 80001-x to specific technological areas, relevant informatics standards (such as HL7, ISO/IEEE 11073, ...), evolving next generation semantic architecture, Continua device integration into the healthcare enterprise, IHE Patient Care Devices (PCD) technical framework, clinical scenario analysis / modeling including ASTM "ICE" compliant system support, ARRA/HITECH implications (incl. HITSP) and more!
